70s Makeup Styles and Ideas

The in the 70s  Ladies started stripping off the tons of lipsticks and eyeliners and adopted a way new trend that encouraged the nude and no-makeup look. The natural effect was created not only by the use of a restricted color palette and pale shades, but also of the great devotion to a spotless complexion.

Skin 
The earlier decades made no issue of skin care and its importance. Time passed, perspectives changed. More and more people began to follow a well-defined beauty routine placing their complexion among the top interests. Dressing down their makeup base became one of the signature tendencies.
Glowing is best achieved with the help of tinted moisturizers and a transparent or illuminating powder. Use concealers if necessary to cover the blemishes and other skin problems make the base most impotent bit of  your makeup.


Blush 
in the 70s they used more of a rosy blush. And most of the time it was a creme or gel blush .
Those who weren't blessed with a darker complexion used bronzer to fake it. However, they still managed to keep the natural look.


Eyes
heir eyelashes were either played up only for the evening, but no way when sporting a casual look. There were no aspirations for thickening the eyelashes only to add length to them with a few streaks.

Liquid Foundation Tip
Use liquid foundation to create the perfect base for your makeup. First, it is important to mach it to your skin tone as it can make you look washed out and ill or orange, secondly to have it match your skin type e.g oily or dry and remember to shake up the bottle in order to mix all the pigment and have an even shade. 
 if you want to use a makeup tools for the application, i would recommend a  foundation brush because a sponge tends to absorb up the product.i use my fingers most if the time i find it much quicker but make sure your hands are clean .  some finishing face powder to preserve the long-lasting hold of foundation.


Bronzer Tip
is a must to master the art of bronzer application if you want  flawless and sun-kissed complexion. 
bronzing powder- Apply this formula on your chin, cheeks as well as on your forehead.
Mix a tiny amount of liquid bronzer with your regular tinted moisturizer. Add a glowy effect to your skin.


Lip Makeup Tip
if you just can't find your signature color, experiment with bright nudes and different formulas e,g Matt glossy sateen


Eyeliner Tip recommends the use of a liquid eyeliner on the top and pencil on the bottom 
if you have small eyes use a more flesh/ wight colours dark colours can close eyes and make them look smaller but wight/ flesh tend to open them and brighten them up.

revlon colorstay foundation reviews

I bought this foundation after hearing it lasted a long time while giving medium to full coverage, (a must for me as I'd used foundations in the past that just started to "slide" off my face after just two hours...not nice). I bought and used the oily/combination skin version in and I have to say, I haven't looked back since! By far the best  foundations I've tried .

Lush Twilight Love

i would say that this is my favorite lush bathe boom is twilight not only is it named after one of my favorite movies it smells delicious and its gorgeous.

once it starts to lather away it reveals a bright baby blue center and turns your bath into a beautiful marbled pink and blue effect. towards the end it  releases a small amount of glitter to make your bath look like outer space

  I would highly recommend it at only £2.95!

Quick Fix for Dry Skin/Overnight Treatment

as the weather is getting colder over the last few weeks, my skin has started to suffer more, "Quick Fix method"...I know that some you may already do this, or it's not a new discovery, but i just thought i would share it with you as it helped me a lot.

 

You will need

Bio Oil 

Water

What to do:
Dampen the area that you wish to hydrate with water

Using clean hands, smooth the bio oil all over your damp face. for about after about 30 minutes to a hour (depending on how dry you skin is)  

and that's all

 The water helps it to sink in much faster than it normally would, It's also helpful if you have a lot of blemishes on your skin. I would also suggest you do this over night as a skin treatment if you'd rather not do it in the day.
